Glycode Lab
With a total surface area of 125 m2, it was designed and built to optimize R&D and service activities. Fully autonomous with rooms dedicated to sterilization and to conservation of yeast strains (cryogenic conservation system), the laboratory is equipped with the newer high-performance devices for molecular biology, genetic engineering, cell biology, culture of yeasts, production and protein purification.
The laboratory consists of 3 distinct complementary units:
- Molecular biology and yeast cell physiology: conception and validation of glycoengineered strains.
- Production, fermentation: Growth of strains to produce interest proteins for therapeutic uses.
- Biochemistry: Characterization and purification of proteins
